HENDRICKS AND MORGAN COUNTIES, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces construction is underway on a resurfacing project on State Road 39 between Monrovia to Belleville. The contractor began work this week. They will be closing one lane in the area they are working and flagging traffic around the construction.
Milestone Contractors, L.P. was awarded the $2.1 million contract. This project will patch and resurface S.R. 39 from the intersection of S.R. 42 to U.S. 40 and also includes a thin deck overlay on the bridge over McCraken Creek located one mile south of I-70. This work is scheduled to be completed by mid-June.
