Important Information Regarding Parks & Recreation:
The Monrovia Parks & Recreation Board is made up of five (5) at-large members, four (4) of which are appointed by the Town Council and one (1) that is appointed by the Monroe-Gregg School District Board. The Park Board is established to ensure that the recreation needs of the community are being met. They achieve this by conducting regular scheduled meetings, soliciting community feedback, setting policies, and by developing existing recreation sites and facilities as well as acquiring new ones.
The Board typically meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. These meetings begin at 6:30 pm, are normally held at the Town Hall, and are open to the public. Please check the calendar page on this website regularly, as additional meetings are sometimes scheduled and the meeting location may change. Also, scheduled meetings may be cancelled if there are no agenda items to discuss.
