Under the provisions of Town Ordinance 2024-01, adopted effective February 27, 2024 (located at the following link), https://monrovia.in.gov/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Ord-2024-01-NonSuff-Fund-Fee.pdf, the following policy applies to wastewater payments returned for non-sufficient funds:
• You will be notified via letter that your payment was returned as unpaid.
• The letter will include the amount of the returned payment, any charges applied by the financial / depository institution, and include an NSF fee of $20.00.
• The maker will have 10 days after the notice mailing to pay the total amount due.
• Failure to make payment within the allotted time period may result in civil action being filed by the Town.
