A lifelong resident of Monrovia, Carol grew up on a small farm on the northern edge of Monrovia, she attended all 12 years of secondary education as a Monrovia Bulldog and is a graduate of Monrovia High School. While in school at Monrovia Carol was a member of the Monrovia Band and Jazz Band, FFA, and played 4 years of Varsity Basketball. Growing up in Monrovia Carol also participated in 4H for many years and played Softball within the Monrovia Youth Baseball/Softball Organization.
Carol has a Bachelor’s degree from Purdue University in Commercial Horticulture and a Master’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety Management from Indiana State University.
After working in the horticultural field for a number of years Carol has been an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager with a global manufacturing company for over 20 years.
Carol is an active member of Gasburg Baptist Church. Other activities include past board member of the Indianapolis Hosta Society, was Chairperson for the 2017 American Hosta Society National Convention and is currently a board member of the Great Lakes Regional Hosta Society, an American Hosta Society Senior Judge and a board member on the Monrovia Alumni Association.
