Prior to assuming the role of Town Manager, Scott R. Collins served as Chief of Staff and Director of State Operations for the Indiana Adjutant General’s Office (Military Department of Indiana). His extensive public service career also includes leadership positions as Director of Operations for Horizon House, Inc.; Senior Financial Analyst for the former Indianapolis Department of Public Safety; Chief Deputy Trustee for the Perry Township Trustee’s Office in Marion County; and Lieutenant with the Marion County Sheriff’s Department, from which he retired after a distinguished law enforcement career.
Mr. Collins is the recipient of Indiana’s highest military award, the Indiana Distinguished Service Cross, recognized for actions in which he sustained life-threatening injuries. His honors also include being awarded the Key to the City of Indianapolis on two occasions, receiving the Service to Mankind Award from SERTOMA International, and induction into the Legion of Hoosier Heroes by the Adjutant General of Indiana.
Mr. Collins is from the Beech Grove, Indiana area. His personal interests include youth leadership and military cadet programs, religious studies, and spending time with family and friends.
